After serving on active duty in the U.S. Army from 2018 to 2025, James understands firsthand what it’s like to move often, start over in a new community, and try to make smart housing decisions along the way. That experience is a big part of the heart behind Off Post Realty: helping military families arriving at Fort Sill feel at home in Lawton, supporting families preparing for their next PCS, and serving the people who have called this community home for generations.

As a licensed Oklahoma real estate associate and mortgage loan originator, James enjoys helping people understand the bigger picture behind a real estate decision. Whether someone is buying their first home, deciding whether to sell or rent before a move, or considering their first investment property, his goal is to make the process feel straightforward, practical, and approachable.

James and Jana are also longtime real estate investors and rental property owners in Lawton. Their experience renovating and managing homes has given James a particular appreciation for property management and the responsibility that comes with providing someone else’s home. He believes tenants deserve responsive communication, well-cared-for properties, and to be treated like neighbors—not numbers.

For James, real estate is ultimately about more than buying and selling houses. It’s about helping people create stability, build a life they enjoy, and feel connected to the community around them.

James grew up primarily in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and moved around the country roughly a dozen times through college and his Army career before he and Jana made Lawton home in 2022. Today, they’re raising their son, Merit, here and investing their time and energy into the same community they serve.

Outside of real estate, you’ll usually find James working out, spending time outdoors, traveling, playing chess, or enjoying time with friends and family. And whether you’re arriving at Fort Sill, preparing to leave, investing in Lawton, or simply trying to figure out your next move, James is always happy to sit down and talk it through.
